A Jury Awards $2.8 Million To Girl Raped In Foster Care In March of 2003 the lawyers of Fodera and Long took a rape case to trial and won a jury award of $2.8 million An 11-year-old Philadelphia girl who was raped seven years ago while living in a foster home under contract with the city was awarded $2.8 million by a federal jury. April 2011, Philadelphia, Pa Fodera & Long resolved a matter against a local health care provider for $500,000.00: Woman presented to local provider in extreme pain. Total time in evaluation was less than 15 minutes. She was diagnosed with a “boil”. Woman represented later the same day with fulminant necrotizing fasciitis ( flesh eating disease). Allegations of failure to diagnose on first presentation.
