Albert Brooks is a civil trial attorney with over 22 years of experience in complex litigation from medical malpractice, to automotive and pharmaceutical products liability, to practice before the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, to mass-torts including breast implant, Fen-Phen and, most recently, the Lyme Disease vaccine LYMErix.
Mr. Brooks holds a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree, and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Mr. Brooks is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the federal courts in the District of New Jersey; Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, Court of Federal Claims and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Brooks has tried and arbitrated hundreds of cases before various courts, involving medical malpractice, products and pharmaceutical liability, automobile accidents and slip & falls.
Mr. Brooks has exercised sole responsibility for briefing numerous cases in the appellate courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court. The Court’s decision changed the law on “increased-risk” causation in favor of Plaintiffs.
Mr. Brooks holds memberships with many legal organizations including the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
